Thanks to everyone who came out. We had a fantastic evening out in the street. Our Canada Day block party is always a highlight of our year, and this year with the gorgeous weather and wonderful turnout was no exception. Thanks to everyone who helped out in preparation; set up the roadblocks, cooked and served the food, helped with the fireworks or just came out and added to the wonderful neighbourly atmosphere. I’m already looking forward to next year.

Check the Being Connected page for ways to interact as a family here at Rawdon. More opportunities for connection and service will be added over coming weeks and throughout the summer. Also, don’t forget about our weekly Sunday gatherings. These are a great place to meet new people and learn about all the ways to participate in the life of Rawdon Street Baptist Church. If you will shift your gaze to the right you will see a lovely display of photographs. Right now it is simply displaying pictures that various people have tagged as “Brantford”, but soon I will be setting up a flickr account for the Rawdon community that will display pictures taken at various functions and gatherings of the community.
